GSC provides independent third party assurance to all ISO’s management system standards, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 22000, HACCP, OHSAS 18001 at Vancouver Head Office and other regional offices in Europe, Central & Far East Asia and Middle East.)

An applicant’s management system ability to produce and deliver goods and services in accordance to defined specifications.GSC has the rights and responsibilities for its activities including maintenance, extension, reduction, suspension, grant and withdrawal of certification.GSC exercises impartiality on issuance of certificates by managing any conflict of interest and ensuring objectivity of assessment.GSC will take action to correct inappropriate claims by any consultancy organisation stating or implying that certification would be simpler, easier, faster, or less expensive if GSC was engaged. GSC will not state or imply that certification will be simpler, easier, faster or less expensive if specific consultancy organisation were engaged.GSC will not be liable for any liabilities, claims, costs, expenses, loss or damages made by certified clients in failing to sustain the management system as a result of any negligence.

Upon acceptance of the quotation, the applicant must complete the registration form and return to GSC together with the application fee in the form of cheque along with their management system documentation.The applicant must have a management representative who is responsible for ensuring the management system meets the requirements of the relevant management system standard (e.g. ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO22000, ISO27001, OHSAS 18001). This person will be the contact point between the applicant and GSC.A qualified lead auditor is appointed to examine and report on the documentation. If possible, the same auditor should be carrying out the physical assessment to ensure the system is implemented according to the requirements of the relevant management system standard.The applicant has the right to object to the inclusion of any auditor proposed by GSC on the grounds of competency or possible conflict of interest.GSC reserves the right to decline any applicant without any valid reason.The applicant will be invoiced accordingly. The assessment fee must be paid prior to the assessment.

The fees due to an applicant or certificated organisation are as follows:

  • Application fee for initial registration and the documentation examination.
  • Assessment fee for the physical assessment and issuance of the certificate.
  • Reassessment fee should the applicant/ organisation fails the first assessment.
  • Surveillance fee for each surveillance visit.


Surveillance & Reassessment

GSC will carry out a minimum of one surveillance visit annually to ensure the certificated organisation is maintaining its management system. If serious non-conformance’s are discovered, the organisation will be given a specific time to carry out corrective actions. Furthermore, the next surveillance visit will be brought forward or a reassessment will be carried out at GSC’s discretion.GSC’s surveillance visits are to monitor the performance of a certificated organisation.
